Proclaiming

We have good news to share. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a message. This message needs to be spoken and explained. As we engage, understand and believe this gospel, God’s promise is that he forgives and gives us the gift of eternal life. At Mentone, the Gospel changes peoples lives and we want to share it with others so that more people can hear the greatest story the world can ever hear. Read more →

Jesus Christ

Our message is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the reason why we live. Jesus is the centre of all we do. Despite the many ways we pursue life without God and fail to live rightly, out of love God sent his only Son to die on a cross in our place and on the third day he rose from the dead. As our famous church sign states, ‘Jesus Saves’, and ‘Christ [is] our hope’. Read more →

To gather a people

Broken relationships and loneliness are a sad part of life, and yet it doesn’t have to be that way. God is the God who brings people together. In fact the great goal of God in the world is to save for himself a people who love him and trust him. This means that Church (the word ‘church’ means gathering) is not outdated and a waste of time; it is the body that God has committed himself to grow. Read more →

For the glory of God

This life is not about us. God is the ultimate: he is creator, he is sustainer, he is saviour, he is judge. We exist by him and for him. Everything we do and say is for his glory.

Ministries

We provide a range of ministries for all ages, serving our members and community.
Growth Groups are the small group ministry of the church. Their aim is for each adult in the church to be discipled, to be pastorally cared for, and to be spurred on toward mission in our community.

Mentone Youth is a program for young people from grade 6 to year 12 with activities, games, testimonies, workshops, bible study, prayer and plenty of food and fun! They meet each friday night from 7-9:30pm during school term.

KidzBiz is a children’s ministry program run by trained volunteers where they learn about God and His salvation plan, play games, make craft, learn what’s in the Bible and why it’s such a special book.

Playgroup meets on Thursdays from 10–11:30am for children aged 0–5 years and their parents/carers. It is a safe place to make friendships, sing (we use It’s Music Time lessons), craft, free play, and even to explore Christianity.
