Get Connected
Growth Groups
Growing should never end for Christians. The Church will only be completely mature when Christ returns so up until then it’s our job to grow and become more like Jesus. The way we do this is by encouraging one another in the knowledge of Christ. One important way that we do this is through meeting together in small groups These Growth groups (as we call them), usually consist of no more than about twelve people. In these groups we give a significant place to reading and discussing the Bible as well as praying together. Not only do they encourage us to know our God but they are also a great way of getting to know others in the Church.
Kidzbiz
Is a program for children (4-11) on Sunday mornings. Kidzbiz seeks to nurture our children so that they might grow up in their faith in Jesus.
We do this by singing songs, telling Bible stories and doing fun activities based on the Bible. Kidsbiz is designed to be an enjoyable learning experience for children in primary school.
It runs concurrently with morning church.
Playgroup
On Wednesday mornings (10-11:30) many Mums and Dads from the local community come with their children (1-4 year olds). It’s a safe place to make friendships, for kids to enjoy activities, and even to explore Christianity. Mentone playgroup is associated with playgroups Australia.
Schools work
We are now involved with three local schools: teaching RE in a primary school, running Christian groups. One of our members, Matt Mottram, was appointed Chaplain to Cheltenham Secondary College in July 2008.
Youth Group:
Mentone Youth is on at the church @4pm every Sunday.

THE CREATIVE SPACE:
The Creative Space is a craft night run by Mentone Baptist Church. It's a great opportunity for women to connect with each other in a supportive environment and have a bit of fun doing craft. You don't need to be creative to come along as everything is provided including instructions. You can also enjoy some coffee and cake, as well as hear a short talk or devotion. It's a great place to invite friends along to as it is relaxed and fun and everyone gets to make something to take home.

Courses we run:

‘What is Baptism?’
‘Joining Mentone Baptist Church’ – a course on membership
‘Introduction to the Bible’ – taught at Mentone through Moore Theological College. It examines questions like, what is the Bible? What is the big idea of the Bible? How to read the Bible?
