We love Jesus who is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, who lived a perfect life, died our death on the cross, three days later rose physically from the dead, ascended to heaven, now rules over everything and one day will return as Judge and King
We love God because he is holy and because he is merciful. He has extended his mercy to us in Jesus and he saves people to be holy through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We love the Bible because it is God's word, totally truthful, gracious and sufficient.
We love people, both Christians and non Christians. We live to serve each other at Mentone and see each other built up in the faith and in good works
We don't like pretentious religion or fake spirituality. The Gospel declared that being reconciled to God is God's gift to us that we receive by faith alone. Good works can never justify us in God's sight and we can't know God outside us faith in Jesus and ignoring God's revelation in the Bible.
We love Church, to hear the Bible read and preached, to praise God, to pray, to sing, to encourage each other in all we do.
We don't run away from culture but want to engage with our culture, look as though we're living in 2009 rather than 1959, and speak God's always relevant Gospel to people in our city
We love people to visit.
